She is a young, and beautiful high school girl who recently becomes an orphan and finds herself between two handsome, and gorgeous Vampire brothers.
You all know that The Vampire Diaries first landed in 2009 but it arrived much before in the form of an adult vampire horror and romance novel series. L.J. Smith wrote and created it in 1971 as a trilogy. However, the readers loved it so much that Smith came up with its fourth volume in 1992.
Based on the novels, Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec developed this American supernatural teen drama TV series. The CW premiered it first on 10th September 2009 and it ended on March 10 2017 with its eighth season. Over these eight seasons, it has 171 aired episodes.
Here’s a surprising fact for all the crazy TVD fans out there. The first episode of the first season, The Pilot, averaged 3.60 million viewers worldwide. It became the most-watched TV series of its time on the network. The show also won a plethora of award nominations among which it had won many Teen Choice Awards and four People’s Choice Awards.
What’s The Vampire Diaries Season 8 All About?
In season 1 of TVD, there was an unspoken antagonism between Stefan and Damon Salvatore. Throughout the series, both of them proved that they would actually do anything for each other. Nonetheless, in the finale, the show reached new heights of conflict.
Despite their constant bickering, Damon supported Stefan throughout the series, which is a major reason why fans love the show. The dynamic between the two brothers was constantly tested in the best possible ways.
When Elena falls under the sleeping curse, the show successfully shifts its focus to highlight the relationship between Stefan and Damon. The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Cast
The Vampire Diaries cast so many stars all throughout the 8 seasons. Nevertheless, Nina Dobrev, aka, Elena Gilbert, the main character left the series in 2015 and shocked the fans. On January 26, 2017, the producers announced that Nina Dobrev would make a comeback as Elena Gilbert in the series finale.
When the episode “It’s Been a Hell of a Ride” aired on February 24, 2017, it revealed that Dobrev would also be reprising her role as Katherine Pierce. There were many more important characters in the previous seasons who didn’t appear in the finale. For instance, Joseph Morgan who played Niklaus Mikaelson, the TVD villain or Daniel John Gillies who played Elijah Milaekson, the (Century old Vampire) Man of Honor.

Is There A TVD Season 9 Coming?
As hardcore TVD lovers, it’s still too hard to believe that this 2000’s classic show has ended. I am sure all of you feel the same. Yes, the show has some typical teenage Vampire plots but you can’t deny the blasting craze and love surrounding it still now.
Like every other thing, it came to an end. However, many of you might be wondering if there is any slightest possibility of Vampire Diaries Season 9!!! Whoa, I have also been thinking the same for a long tie. So I did a little research on it and here’s what I found.
In recent times, several long-concluded TV shows, such as Dexter: New Blood, Samurai Jack, and Twin Peaks, have been revived. TVD, which also garnered a dedicated fan base during its original run, could potentially follow suit with the development of Season 9. However, the likelihood of a ninth season is currently low.
Because in its final season, the show already concluded what it had to. Everything fell into its place and everybody found peace. There is no such significant ‘incomplete stuff’ to talk about. The show’s Finale marked its peak. Furthermore, the producers made the decision to end it after considering the financial aspects and the narrative’s direction.
So, it’s possible to state as of now that TVD season 9 is not coming
When Is The Vampire Diaries Season 9 Coming Out?
Currently, TVD makers have not announced any making of season 9 officially. Naturally, no question of its release date arises. This sequel has become the talk of the town only because of fans. Needless to mention that its development completely depends on fans’ demand as well as the resources of the makers.
In short, till now there is no official word about season 9 from the team’s side. I will update this article if any authentic information is out. In the meantime, you can watch series like The Originals and The Legacies on Netflix. These three series are parts of The Vampire Diaries Universe featuring many common same characters.
Is Vampire Diaries Season 9 Confirmed Or Rumour?
Nope, as of now no Vampire Diaries Season 9 is coming out. There has been no planning yet. Hence, I can confirm, it’s not happening now.
