Considering the craze of the series and a huge number of cult-like audiences, the expectations revolving around it are pretty natural. Also, it could have been wrapped up 5 years back but it seems like the anime has a lot more miles to go.

What Highschool DXD Season 5 Is All About?
For those who are new to this anime, High School DXD is a series from the ecchi harem category (hope, you know about it!) based on a light novel series by Ichiei Ishibumi. It’s the story of a perverted high school student, Issei Hyoudou, whom a fallen angel kills.
But, he is resurrected as a devil by Rias Gremory, a powerful devil and the most charming girl in his school. Issei joins Rias’ devil family and becomes her servant. He got engaged in wars against angels, fallen angels, and other supernatural beings.
TNK initially produced it in 2012, its first season was aired on AT-X, TV-Tokyo’s satellite channel, and other networks. Manga Entertainment, Crunchyroll, and Madman Entertainment held licenses to air it in the UK, North America and Australia respectively.
After the last season, Season 4, was aired from April 10 208 to July 3, 3018, by Passione (And not TNK), there have been no official updates on the High School DXD Season 5. However, a lot of title-tattles are everywhere about its plot, cast, and release date. The 4th season was based on the ninth and tenth volume light novel, and each season covers two volumes of the same. Season 5 is forecasted to cover eleven and Twelve volumes, thereby, closing the story.
High School DXD Season 5 is anticipated to be around the life of Issei and his friends. The season is expected to introduce some new characters, and plotlines while exploring the complex relationships and power struggles within the supernatural world.
When Is Highschool DXD Season 5 Coming?
“ When does High School DXD Season 5 come out? ” It’s a serious question among the anime community and there are already so many hearsays, predictions, conspiracy theories and whatnot on it!!!
But unfortunately, officially, there is no update on the High School DXD Season 5 release date. Whether it’s currently in making or when it’s expected to be completed – nothing can be known as of now.
Fans have been eagerly waiting for Issei’s next actions and life story for, like, EVERRRR! They expected it to get released anytime between 2020 to 2023 but the COVID-19 pandemic delayed it. Also, the previous two seasons, Season 4, and Season 5, received considerably poor responses from the audiences.
So, without a probability of a lump sum amount of profit, the studio may have been unwilling to start with the production. Nevertheless, with the growing demands now, the team may reconsider. Hopefully, it won’t face the same destiny as its Manga equivalent which Hiroji Mishima created and left unfinished.
Has There Been An Update Lately Regarding Highschool DXD Season 5?
In the year 2020, amidst the pandemic, there were hundreds of rumours which were out on the web in the form of articles, YouTube videos, blogs, shorts, etc. Every year such reports continue to speculate something or the other about the manga. But as of now, they don’t have any other choice apart from waiting for an update.
We advise you to keep an eye out on social media networks and on the search engine giant Google, for a sudden announcement or something. You may get any news from any of the official sources such as Ichiei Ishibumi, the production studio, the publisher, Miyama Zero, or any reliable anime news websites.
At least, we can finger-cross and hope that the makers announce the production or release of High School DXD New Season 5 soon. As of now, we can’t do anything other than this In the meantime you can rewatch all the prior seasons and episodes of High School DXD on Netflix, and Crunchyroll.
Who Are The Cast Members Of Highschool DXD Season 5?
As much as fans are eager to know when is High School DXD Season 5 coming on the screen, they are equally thrilled to hear about its cast. Although there are no official updates from the creators or the production studios, as hardcore anime fans, we can make a rough guess.
Only a small number of members from season 4 might be reprising the roles in this season including:
- Issei Hyodou – Yuki Kaji’s voice in Japanese and Josh Grelle in English
- Rias Gremory – Yoko Hikasa’s voice in Japanese and Jamie Marchi in English.
- Akeno Himejima – Shizuka Itou’s voice in Japanese and Teri Rogers in English.
- Koneko Toujou – Ayana Taketatsu’s voice in Japanese and Jad Saxton in English.
- Yuuto Kiba – Kenji Nojima’s voice in Japanese and Sean O’Connor in English.
- Xenovia Quarta – Risa Taneda’s voice in Japanese and Alison Viktorin in English.
- Irina Shidou – Maaya Uchida’s voice in Japanese and Krystal LaPorte in English.
Please note that it’s just an anticipation based on the previous seasons. It’s nothing final or official because there are not yet any legit updates in the casting team from the creator’s end. There might be some new characters as well.

There is no official announcement regarding the High School DXD Season 5 trailer. But you will get some fan-made compiled videos that give a decent idea of what is going to happen in this season. High School DXD Season 3 was the final TNKproduced season. So, whether the new season will be TNK or Passione-produced cannot be confirmed now!
