Ever go to the bathroom at someone’s house and get frustrated by the way the toilet paper is hung? Ever go so far as to change it for them? You’re not alone. In fact, you’ve already been psychologically profiled.
Dr. Gilda Carle, a relationship expert and performance coach, created the Toilet Paper Personality Test as a way to test those daily, almost unconscious behaviors we have that we never give any thought to. And what more mundane task could there be than hanging toilet paper rolls?
And just how does hanging a toilet paper roll relate to absolutely anything? Accoridng to the good doctor “I queried a random sampling of 2000 men and women, aged 18 to 75 of different ethnicities. I asked them whether they roll their toilet paper over or under. I also questioned how assertive they were in their relationships with others, on a scale of 1 to 10.”
The findings? If you like your TP over the top, you tend to be a little more dominant than those who roll under. In fact, some are so dominant they will go to another person’s house and switch the toilet paper if it’s hung the wrong way. That’s taking the bull by the horns right there.
Of course none of this gets into the logic of why you hang your paper the way you do and how overhand is still wrong. Just sayin’.
